You are not meant to excel, expand, grow, rise, or perform on your own.
You are not meant to carry the burden of leading without support.
You and your vision require the amplification and support of people that get what you’re up to and appreciate who you are here to be.
You are meant to be supported. Wildly and endlessly supported. We all are.
As a transformational leader on the planet you must embrace the necessity, the power, and the potency of being really well supported.
The days of sacrificial leadership are over. The days of one person ascending to success in some kind of antiquated model are over. Guess what those years led to—living in the shadows.
Suppressing, repressing, and denying the needs for connection, vulnerability, authenticity, and feedback that every human being requires. And guess what happens when you deny your need for support? Very often those needs come out sideways in the form of addictions, neuroses, deceit, betrayal, and all kinds of behaviors that compromise who you are really here to be.
Some of the most awarded leaders have fallen hard, oftentimes blowing up their lives, from the plastic pressure of perfectionism while thinking they have to figure it all out and do it by themselves.
You are not meant to bring your leadership vision to form alone. You are not.
In fact, imagine you have a team of collaborators that are ready and willing to supercharge your vision and realize it more quickly than you can imagine.
That is what I am saying yes to this year. And in order for my vision to be realized I must be wildly supported.
I’ve tried to go it alone. It’s no fun and it takes way too long.
No more holding back. No more being polite. No more waiting or taking turns.
This is your moment. This is your year. This is your vision. And this is your life.
Get the support you need.
I am boldly and loudly declaring my vision for a physical space in Chicago that is rooted in my philosophy and framework of growth, transformation, and leadership.
Three years ago we bought three lots in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. And since then I have not been able to shake what I know the space is wanting to become—Nuluum. A magical space that is beautifully designed, including indoor and outdoor spaces for small and large groups that are ready to supercharge their lives, their businesses, and the world. I am developing a sanctuary in the city.
I can’t do that alone. My vision for 11,000 square feet of new construction and exquisite gardens requires the support of hundreds of people. Because I know, at a soul level, the importance of my vision it is my responsibility, my imperative to share my vision with others.
When we ask for support, when we share our lives we open up the possibilities of outcomes that exceed our expectations. When we stay small, quiet, and hoard our vision it atrophies.
The most effective leaders today are willing to show up fully without closeting their idiosyncrasies, quirks, and gifts. Leaders that have a vision are tired of investing in what others think about them. They’re ready to get free of the old paradigm of leadership and create something new.
If you are an accomplished leader, and you are ready for the support your vision is worthy of, I would love to be among your world class support team. My clients get the benefit of working beyond the obvious hacks, tools, and techniques. Our work happens at a totally different dimension of reality. Needed to hear this today. I think women in general – including me, my female colleagues, and many of my clients struggle with this – beginning with a deep resistance to asking for help. Thanks for the reminder to call in the tribe, Lola!
Thank you Michelle.❤️ We’re not meant to do any of this alone!
